Few years after controversial actress,
Tonto Dikeh shocked her fans when she starred in Dirty Secret, a
soft-porn movie, lovers of Nigerian movies are about to feast their eyes on yet-another soft-smut movie titled, Island Babes.
Shot in Lekki area of Lagos, the movie
which stars Moyo Lawal, Mimi Orjiekwe, Dabby Chimere, Susan Zayat,
Bella Ebinum, Uzor Arukwe among others, is directed by Okechukwu
Ifeanyi.
The movie uncovers the dirty lifestyles
of young girls in our society who rarely put into consideration the
risk and challenges involved while attempting to make it life.
On the movie, the producer, Dabby
Chimere of Dabz Movies said, “We actually wanted to get our message
right, by hitting the nail on the head. Let the society know the
truth about life. If we don’t expose some of these irregularities
through art, I don’t think anyone else can do it for us. So far,
we’ve studied our critics and we will continue to tell them the
truth”, she said.
Meanwhile, in the movie, actress Moyo
Lawal is said to have interpreted her role excellently, even as she
acted nude in some scenes which, however, made the movie an
eyesore to the rating of most critics.
