Uche Ogbuagu shines in London

Last weekend, ace comedian cum radio station operator, Uche Ogbuagu got decorated with yet another award in faraway London.
This time, the Akabo-Ikeduru born entertainer was nominated and recognized for propagating and promoting African culture through entertainment.
The well publicized award night held at the 4, 000 capacity Oasis Banqueting Hall Barking London, and it attracted successful artistes, eminent personalities from Africa, Caribbean and Wales.
It would be recalled that Uche Ogbuagu, otherwise known as Mr. Talkinson was last year licensed by the NBC to operate a full-fledged commercial Radio station in Imo state.
Today, and according to sources, the station known as, MyRadio FM, 100.9 in Owerri has started operations, thus ranking Uche Ogbuagu the first Nigerian artiste to own a radio station, alongside great artistes like Papa Wemba, Yousuf Ndour and Hugh Masakela, all who are African entertainers who have changed the rhythm from building joints, brothels to setting up Radio stations.

AGN crisis: Steve Eboh set to audit Ibinabo's administration

The newly established caretaker committee of the Actors Guild of Nigeria,AGN, headed by veteran actor, Steve Eboh has revealed plans to audit the all accounts of AGN under Ibinabo Fiberesima's leadership in line with section seven of the judgement as delivered by Justice J.T .TSOHO on 16th of March, 2016.
The committee which arose from its first meeting, which recently held in Surulere, Lagos, appointed an audit firm, Vincent Anwi and Company, to carry out the assignment.
The audit will be extended to all the state chapters as well and that is why some state chapter chairmen are ganging up against the committee. They have never accounted to anybody. We want to let them know that it’s no longer business as usual. The time of sharing campaign money is over.
We have equally reached out to St Maradonna Johnson for a possible truce. This is because Emeka Ike is not in the picture at all. When we are done with resuscitating the Guild we will then put Emeka Ike where he belongs.
The committee wants to put the records straight: The emergence of this committee is the best thing to happen to AGN because its mandate is just to resuscitate AGN and conduct elections. Anybody who wants to cast aspersions on the committee should first of all lay hands on the copy of the judgement read, digest it, and if possible, get a sound lawyer to interpret it. We are not here to thread words with anybody or to fight anybody but to keep peace in AGN and avoid any party from holding AGN to ransom. It will be contempt of court for AGN Chairmen under Ibinabo Fiberesima to hold any meeting in Calabar as presently rumoured. The National Caretaker committee has come to stay. We would also not hesitate to work within the ambit of the law to stop any gathering under the guise of Chairmen meeting anywhere. We have copies of the judgement and copies of ruling on the stay of execution as filed by Ibinabo’s lawyer.

Kcee battles Harrysong over peace concert?

There are indications that all is not well between “Better Pikin” crooner, Harrison Tare Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, and his record label, Five Star Music, owned by business mogul, Emeka Okonkwo (a.k.a E-Money) and his elder brother Kingsley Okonkwo (a.k.a Kcee).
We reliably gathered that following Harrysong's forthcoming 'One Delta Concert' which is currently gathering momentum with the pop singer allegedly investing resources into the project, his record label has strictly warned him to stop the concert and concentrate on releasing his much anticipated first ever album under the label.
Harrysong is said to have pleaded with the management of his label to allow him hold the concert which aimed at sensitizing the youth on the need to shun violence but they allegedly refused to oblige him.
As a matter of fact, our source further revealed that Kcee who is the Vice President of Five Star Music has allegedly threatened that if Harrysong goes ahead with the concert he will no longer enjoy support from the label.
But when contacted on the telephone, Kcee's manager, Soso Soberekon denied the rumour, saying “There is nothing like that. I don't know what you are talking about.”
Also, a close source to Harrysong refused to confirm the rumour. According to him, “He's concentrating on his event and as I speak he has been busy trying to tighten loose ends.”
One Delta is described as a Harrysong Peace Concert and would hold in Asaba, the capital city of Delta State, on the 31st of July. The government of Delta State is reportedly happy to be a part of the event and promised to make it a yearly event.
